I love this photo because it really exemplifies great photography. It is simple but filled with so much character. A great photo should have a great subject and this one does.

I wanted the photo that I chose to have a strong subject. This French boy is directing the attention to himself because of the bottles of wine he is carrying and his innocent smile.

When I took my photo I wanted to be the obvious star of the photo like the child. When I took my photo I put on a sweater and carried some glass botttles of water (no wine was available) to get the feel of the kid and his attitude.

When I started taking the pictures I realized that it took several tries to get the photo just right.
